Health Education Services offers a curriculum to achieve and maintain instructor certification with the American Heart Association
American Heart Association Prerequisites
- Current completion card in discipline for the appropriate instructor course
– Basic Life Support (BLS) for HealthCare Professionals
– HeartSaver® for the workplace and/or community - Completion of American Heart Association Instructor Essentials Course
- A Letter of Recommendation attesting to candidate’s ability to become a competent instructor
- A letter from an American Heart Association Training Center confirming that candidate has been accepted into the training center
Course Segments
Complete a one day instructor course
Teach first class, while being successfully monitored by a Training Center Faculty member
Upon demonstration of instructor competency, receive American Heart Association Instructor Card
