“Reconvening the meeting industry through health protocols from inception to evaluation.”
Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) for Meeting Professionals
As face-to-face (F2F) meetings begin to reopen amidst COVID-19, the need to implement new safety protocols has emerged. To operate F2F meetings responsibly during a pandemic, it is vital that we take action to ensure participants, suppliers, and staff are protected within the scope of our meetings from contracting or spreading a communicable disease. Going beyond the basics of social distancing, mask-wearing, and frequent hand sanitization, there are myriad considerations to cultivate safe environments.
This class will define the role and describe the responsibilities of the Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) whose duty is to ensure that these safe practices are implemented, communicated, and effectively carried out throughout the entire meeting cycle. Whether you plan to serve in this role, delegate, or contract coverage, this course will help you to ensure best practices for the safest execution of your F2F meetings.
This three-hour course is presented as a live webinar, and while targeted to the gamut of meeting professionals, suppliers working with meetings will also benefit. A certificate of completion will be awarded upon passing the exam. Additionally, this class is available for up to 3.0 CE Credits through Events Industry Council (Domain G: Meeting or Event Design). Health Education Services will report attendance to EIC; however, you will need to register using the email associated with your EIC profile for credit to be assigned to your account. Individuals who register under a different email address will be required to self-report attendance.
Resource materials will be provided following the course. Attendees are obliged to review resource materials before actively functioning in the PCA role, and to revisit linked resources proactively and periodically to check for updates as they relate to this or future pandemic-related guidance.
This class addresses US pandemic protocol only. While this class may be of benefit, and we welcome those who are based outside of the US, we do not address international pandemic requirements.
“I just took the Pandemic Compliance Advisor course. SO helpful. Really enjoyed it!”
Taylor Cortolillo, Director of Events and Awards
“I attended the Pandemic Compliant Advisors Course on 3/26/21-thank you for offering it, it was extremely valuable. I am already putting practices into place with my Executive Team for our Hybrid Events. It truly was precise timing that I attended the course. This is uncharted territory for all of us, being able to attend the course was great in itself, but also having access to the resources is going further help navigate our company into the next steps, which for us is hybrid events.”
Tricia Michalovicz, Director of Meeting Planning
“Many thanks…for providing a great course on how to dutifully execute the role of Pandemic Compliance Advisor (PCA) as we return to F2F meetings amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. While the industry has adapted and we continue to expect an expansion of virtual experiences, the value of F2F meetings is truly unmatched. We all know our members, speakers, vendors, etc. are excited to see each other in-person again but–even as vaccines become more widely available and protective measures begin to decrease–it is vital that we remain vigilant and do all we can to protect against the contraction and spread of communicable diseases at our events.”
